Many people are in search of an inspirational story to tell. This workshop will show that small, everyday stories can allow us to connect with others in a big way.
Attendees will leave with the following:
- Understanding simple story structure using Joseph Campbell’s Hero’s Journey model
- How to use Joseph Campbell’s Hero’s Journey model to tell a personal narrative story and
- Understanding the importance of “the moment of change“
Brief Biography:
Nick has had the honor of serving in the United States Air Force for 10 years, followed by 4 years in the United States Air Force Reserves. Nick also has 20 years of fire service time, with 17 years of that being in Prince William County Dept. of Fire and Rescue. Nick is also a member of Prince William County Toastmasters club 1973 in District 29, Division G, area 72. He also tells personal narrative stories that have been featured on shows for Better Said Than Done, The Moth, The Story Collider, and the Armed Service Arts Performance (ASAP) Program.
